Welcome to Kabbalat K’tan Shabbat, a Shabbat evening experience for the young and the young at heart.

Using music as the vehicle to capture the essence of the liturgy in an engaging and memorable way, Kabbalat K’tan Shabbat increases familiarity with the prayer service. The service is simple enough for preschoolers to enjoy and sophisticated enough to provide an exceptional experience for adults.

Kabbalat K’tan Shabbat was developed with user-friendliness in mind. The service, while traditional in its structure, is renewed with original liturgical settings and brief leader-led scripting or stories between each song, to offer explanation of each prayer.

Designed to be time-sensitive, Kabbalat K’tan Shabbat maintains the attention of even young children without compromising the integrity of the service.
